Lady Bountiful opened her doors in September 1993 and is the brainchild of Alice Jacob.

However, due to a thyroid condition, Alice began to see her Size 12 figure disappear along with her choice in fashionable clothes! Alice & her colleagues travel to Europe frequently on the look out for elegant clothes for her plus size customers in Sizes 18 - 32.

As there are many regular customers on her books, Alice is able to buy her Collections based on their requirements which is what makes Lady Bountiful unique. Her client base stretches from Scotland to London, Isle of Man & the Channel Isles.

After 14 years in Manchester's city centre, Alice opened her new shop in Chorlton-Cum-Hardy - a couple of miles from the centre. Customers now find it much easier to visit as the shop is just off the motorway with a carpark around the corner from the shop (on Manchester Road) as well as little side roads for parking.
